@tigersandflowers: happy world tiger day!🐯 i am so thankful these beautiful creatures exist, but it’s also an important day to remember that there are only about 5,000 tigers left in the wild: bengal tigers: 3,000 left in the wild siberian tigers: 500 left in the wild sumatran tigers: 400 left in the wild indochinese tigers: 200 left in the wild malayan tigers: 150 left in the wild south china tigers: 20 left in the wild, about 200 in captivity unfortunately these cats’ populations are running low because of habitat loss/deforestation and poaching. this is why it’s important to support and look into ethical organzizations that support tigers in their natural habitat and tigers in captivity! bengal tigers had reached around 1,500 left in the wild, but thanks to conservation efforts they have doubled! this shows that it’s not too late to help them! we love tigers, and we just want to protect them :) (featured here is rani, a siberian tiger)🐅🐅 #tiger #tigers #internationaltigerday #bigcat #cat #catsoftiktok #animals
