I took it the opposite way. I’m so angry as a plus size girl! Kitty gets ignored by all the men and Lydia gets them all even though they’re always together. It’s like saying the reason she doesn’t get them in is because she’s plus sized and it makes me mad 😡 we’ll see how the rest of this goes but as a first look, I’m not happy. I am glad to hear a second opinion though.

I worry it’ll fall into the over sexualized fat girl trope 😭 like the girl who hits on anything that breathes and it’s “funny” because she’s fat and no one ever reciprocates for the same reason. I really hope not though! The fact that there’s any Rep for us is promising!

The photo gives away that she was going to be either kitty or Lydia, the hand holding is key! The two on the left are Jane and lizzy (they’re super close and holding hands) the right would be kitty and Lydia (also super close and give younger energy) leaving Mary solo next to mom!

No, but I saw this picture earlier and literally thought, "Oh it's cool one of them is plus-sized. She's probably Mary." It's way better that she's playing Kitty! I'm suddenly excited for this adaptation. 😊
