It’s such an infuriating take. Communist Russia and modern China and North Korea are explicitly atheist and they’re awful on ‘hunger’, wars, and bloodshed. Historical wars were almost always about economics and political power. This is such an ignorant take.

he completely misses the point that religious wars were always for political or economic reasons, religion was used to mobilize the masses. similar to how they mobilize people now with lofty goals like freedom and democracy; just notice how those never seem to come after said wars

Even though I'm not opposed to religion, ofcourse you can take a general stance against it? It has a pretty clear definition and if you find it to be generally destructive for society, you can be in opposition to it. I think most people would object to authoritarianism for example, even though it can be expressed in numerous ways within different ideologies. You don't have to declare which type you oppose in order to oppose the concept in itself.

religion is used for for humans who have mental instabilities or an inability to take initiative of their own. they need an exterior force that is greater than them. 1- You’re admitting that religion gets used to hide other evils. 2- No religion doesn’t wake your critical thinking against nationalism, it trains it for it. 3- The secular state may states that ”everything” is run by the market but it sure states that law and morals should come before. 4- What are you calling modern mythology? Hunger and war is not a modern mythology so why did you rename it that? 5- Economic and ecologic disasters can be managed. Religion distracts you from it by trying to trick you into believing that they appeared because god wants something. 6- Religion causes imperialism. Imperialism is not even always a bad thing but religion definitely sets up the worst ones. 7- Yeah you’re right here. Racism should be the number one top causes of murderers, but religion is still up there, top two! 8- Yeah religion is a too wide category to be considered a single category, but it still does in a comprehensive way 🤷♂️

Almost all religions advocate peace even among each other. The problem being the fake believer that uses religion for their cause that make it so that what they are doing is justified and "in the name of god." It is the same with nationalism.

Humans in throughout history have felt the need to creat a higher being to rule them, even if someone ignorantly chooses to delete relgion based on their view of this day and age many people throughout history would just come up with a similar concept to rule them… cuz from god to kings to princes to leaders to chiefs and whatever you wanna call it … humans have a way of creating such structures and rules and laws to lead their lives & they also have a way of asking questions and wonder around with what happens after this since life is short and they die & they wanna live after, the people they love die & some die young some die old & humans need the cope mechanism to fuel their life … I do believe in god & I think throughout history human nature in inn of itself showed that there is a god. I don’t always share my thoughts & views loudly but I loved ur video and felt comfortable to share.
