MR.DBZ :
What if the first Devil Fruit in One Piece was the Yami Yami no Mi (Darkness Fruit)?
Let me explain the story behind its creation:
Long ago, Joy Boy and another person—possibly his brother or a close rival—competed to become the successor of Nika, the Sun God, and the true representative of the people of the Earth. In the end, Joy Boy was chosen, earning the title due to his cheerful spirit and ability to spread joy and freedom.
However, his rival was consumed by envy, hatred, and resentment. His deep desire to obtain Nika’s powers began to manifest into something else… something dark. Unlike Joy Boy’s pure heart, this rival's corrupted will began to take form, eventually materializing into a Devil Fruit—one unlike any other. Thus, the Yami Yami no Mi was born, a fruit that reflects darkness, emptiness, and the negation of all others—especially the powers of Nika himself.
Driven by rage and the wish to replace Joy Boy as the "chosen one," the rival ate the fruit and set out to defeat him. But in the end, he was defeated by Joy Boy in an unknown way, and the Darkness Fruit vanished with him.
Years passed.
Eventually, the Void Century began. Joy Boy later faced Imu and the 20 kings, and was ultimately defeated. But before his death, Joy Boy transferred his will, spirit, and power into the Nika Fruit—so that it would seek a new chosen one in the future, someone who would carry on his will and finish what he could not.
