A few hindsight things: -my muscles had been randomly twitching (especially my eyes) for 3 days prior, and I had restless legs like CRAZY for the week prior -I kept breaking blood vessels in my hands doing everyday things Last Sunday night I got out of the shower and filmed this video of my hands after I broke two blood vessels while tossing around a volleyball with my husband. It was extremely low impact and weird that it happened, but it happened on and off doing random things lately so I didn’t think too much of it. About 30 mins later I started with excruciating pain to my right mid back that wrapped around to front right mid/lower abdomen. I thought appendix, but when we got to ER it ended up being kidney stone. That sucked- but here’s where I’m looking for insight. I had prolonged QT interval (434) so continued tele, and my labs were out of whack. Potassium was at 2.9, lactic acid was 2.6, WBC 12.8, eosinophils 0.4, lymphocytes 5.32. UA was clear, CT was clear except showing hydroureteronephrosis to R ureter d/t calculus in distal r ureter. Got a K rider and transferred to larger hospital for stent- ended up passing the stone the next day before the stent was placed- was watched for K because it went up to 5.3 after the rider- it went back down to 3.7 (24 hours later) so they discharged me. When I went in I had normal values to everything except what was mentioned above- on discharge these were abnormal: hemoglobin 9.5, hematocrit 30.6, RBC 3.6, MCH 26.4, MCHC 31, Cholride 112, anion gap 4, calcium 7.9 This was my first instance with kidney stones. How likely is it that something else caused the kidney stone and my electrolytes were just off? Did the kidney stone come first, or is there a different problem that caused the stone from imbalances? I was released yesterday, today my eye started twitching again and I’m nervous I have an imbalance of some kind. Due to follow up with doc on Friday and have labs checked directly before that! #fyp #drtiktok #advice #nursesoftiktok #hematology #urology #helppppp
