He was on such a low wage at Liverpool that it might have cost around £40/50mil to extend his deal for 2 years which is apparently what he wanted. This makes me think this was even better of a deal than it first appears

id glady take 65m for a player who's way to inconsistent he had a explosive start and end but he wasn't great from like jan to March altho aside from salah that front line wasn't great at all in that period

Pretty sure he was on £50k p/w from what I heard, might explain why he was keen to go elsewhere if Liverpool didn’t want to extend. Player of his calibre should be on a bit more. Plus Bayern are possibly slightly panick buying after a number of transfer rejections!
