They have restricted support websites too including domestic abuse support, mental health, drugs/addition etc & Wikipedia 🤔 it has nothing to do with protection, it's about control. if it gets any worse, I think a lot of people will do away with their Internet altogether. go back to the old ways maybe

The only platforms being affected are ones with explicit adults content. Up until now children as young as 9 were accessing such material.

Good. All social media accounts should be linked to a verified ID through a third party provider, it would keep privacy but hold people accountable, and stop bots and misinformation. The gov suggested they would provide a service, but privacy nuts wanted a non gov solution. So you get what you campaign for.

This will also push people to unknown, unmoderated underground websites that dodge the ban or is overlooked. Kids will share them with each other at school, and they could start to see videos of people being m0rd0red and other awful things.
