If the people who you have backbitten are holy than why will they take heaven from you? If they are not holy and take your good deeds than why should they be let into heaven when you are the follower of God and have repented. Repentance is the ultimate act in faith. We are just human and repentance shows the Lord that you know you are not perfect and want to be more holy.
