I am a nurse who would like to study postgraduate medicine. Unfortunately due to fee costs of €16,000 a year and no form of financial assistance or loan available, I am unable to persue it. Serious change is needed to postgraduate fees or reinstatement of the BOI medicine loan to fix these problems

Why don’t we have (a lot) more GP Nurse Practitioners… They are highly skilled and trained, and will be able to provide great support to practices. I also agree that the strict CAO requirements are locking many great students out of the course 👎

I know drs are the problem being discussed here but nursing for example - they need to fund the courses. they need apprenterships and be paid. they need funding for single parents not based on their parents income - as they still live at home because can't find housing and won't get their own house ever.

all 12 GPs around Sandyford area are "not accepting" new patients.. and they now building+2000 apartments in a new massive block. I wonder if anyone on government or supervising entities cares if already no GPs, no new schools etc.. about problem? rents are +€ 2200 (for 2 rooms, and near 2000 for single room.. It's unsustainable.. we should deserve public services for the ammount of taxes we paying on this country.. sad and time to leave asap
