Hot honey chicken biscuit 🔥 For the fried chicken ⬇️ 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut in half 1/4 cup pickle juice 1-2 cups buttermilk 1 bag Chica Licka Bam Bam Crispy Coating For the biscuits ⬇️ 2 cups flour 2-1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 tbsp sugar 1/2 cup butter, frozen and cubed 1 cup buttermilk Oil, for frying For the hot honey ⬇️ 16 oz honey 1 jalapeno, sliced 1 Tbs red pepper flakes 1 Tbs vinegar Directions: Start off by adding your chicken to a bowl of pickle juice and buttermilk. Feel free to add your favorite chicken seasoning, but it’s totally optional. Cover in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least an hour, but overnight is best. For the biscuits, mix together all of the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then cut the chilled butter into the dry mixture until the butter is no bigger than pea size pieces. Next add the butter milk 1/2 cup at a time and mix with a fork until you have a crumbled dough. Pour it out on your surface and need together no more than 10 times. Roll out to a half inch and cut out your biscuits. Bake on parchment paper at 400°F degrees for around 15 minutes or until golden brown. For the hot honey, add the honey, jalapeno slices, red pepper flakes and vinegar to a pan over medium low heat and simmer stirring often until the jalapeños have shrunk and look candied. When you’re ready to fry the chicken, follow the instructions on the Crispy Coating bag. Brush or dunk the chicken with the honey then place on a buttery biscuit.
