I went to school with Alex and we weren’t that close but we had chats after graduation here and there. I had absolutely no idea this was happening either and I’m usually very on top of the whisper network. One time a girl in our year told me at a bar well after graduation that she HATED him but wouldn’t elaborate as to why… I guess that makes a lot more sense now. He absolutely knows better. And his substack talking about breaking the women in his life is extremely disturbing.

I only knew this dude because he was with hasan, but I did notice something that gave me really bad vibes. in one live, Alex seemed to be trying to push boundaries with hasan (hasan for his part seemed kind of oblivious), but it gave me the creeps. my initial thought was that he was being pushy with hasan who he knows is straight & it gave me the ick. made me wonder how he is with others who are gay/bi or women. my intuition is never wrong

knowing something intellectually is hugely different from embodying it and i think this is a conversation we need to start having in leftist spaces. sincere shadow work is required for us to truly actualize the ideals we claim to want to advance so we don’t perpetuate the dysfunction. in the meantime truthtelling is a purifying force so we can prevent the pedestalizing / upliftment of people who are not showing up for that inner work. i am sorry you are having to go through this.

I just tried to find info about him on TikTok, Google, and Twitter and everything is calling him “Hasan Pikers friend” there are articles titled “Hasan Piker responds to seggs pest allegations” THEYRE ALREADY TRYNA USE THIS TO TARGET PROMINENT LEFTISTS. And I can’t find ANY real info, just people saying they already knew, didn’t trust him, hate leftist men, etc.
