But this means that you have to commute in every day- more miles on car, gas, possibly parking costs. So that’s not helpful.

I kinda get where you’re going w this but think of people with longer commutes into office. I know some ppl that drive 2 hours each way to the office, they can’t be offline from 1-3pm daily. Plus more mileage, more parking costs. 😞

I work from home, I do 4- 10hr shifts, my goal is to drop to 4- 8 hr shifts in a few years as a faux retirement 😂 it would feel like such a change that I think it would rejuvenate me. 9-1 would be amazing (but I don’t want to be in office for any reason hahaha)

I have a flexible in office schedule just because of what I do and high trust. I do 10-3 in the office most days and block 3-6 on my calendar. I get back on later

I’m a professor and we put in a lot of hours but it can be any hours of the day. I often work after dinner but have flexibility in the afternoon to do kid chores.
