I always put in my contracts that it’s net 30. If it’s anything more than they I add 20% per 30 days. And if they pay within 14 days they get a discount. But I’m not waiting for 90 days for you to pay me when you want your content a certain way and at a certain time. I also want my money a certain way…and a certain time

I owned a PR firm that years ago was one of the first to incorporate influencers (bloggers) into our campaigns. No matter how busy we were, I personally took time to pay influencers the day they invoiced. Same for all small businesses actually. It’s a sign of respect I think. Guess who had incredible, long supplier relationships? (Us) 😊

The thing no one tells creators about the money is that this industry works on the retail calendar. So there are dead months and busy months. Oct, Nov, Dec- super busy! Jan, March, April- supppppper slow. So you have to plan accordingly and know that’s normal.

Coming from a girl who did social media then went corporate and got let go a week before Christmas and now back in as a business owner and boss my life is way more financially free than I ever imagined. Making 7 figures and making my yearly salary per month. I struggled from a 9-5 being told what to do and losing my creative freedom to just be me and do what I believe in and what resonates with me. Praying corporate life does treat you better and I do hope you find joy. Nothing is guaranteed in life which is why I trust in God with everything. 🙏🏻🥺🙏🏻
