I recently got diagnosed with CPTSD due to ongoing abuse in my life and one of the major events that caused this most likely is me being with an ex, and it’s interesting because I’ve noticed that most of the people that say “yeah (media/thing) is a trigger because my ex used to like it” is just their uncomfort of being reminded of their ex usually because they did something wrong or they were the reason of the problems in that relationship, not an actual “trigger” if that makes sense lol
