@deanfashing: Malik Muhammad (CB, 6'0" 188lb) - In his first year as a starter at Texas, Muhammad showed off his quick twitch with his ability to make reads and trigger downhill in a hurry. He has good long speed to carry deep routes and squeeze receivers to the sideline. Muhammad has great short-area quickness and fluid hips to match receivers on short and intermediate routes. Lastly, his length allows him to be physical at the catch point. Most of his shortcomings in 2024 stemmed from a clear lack of experience. He often got out of position due to flipping his hips too early, making it hard for him to either drive downhill or get in phase. Lastly, his smaller frame hurt him in run support, with instances of him bouncing off of ball carriers or having issues shedding blocks. The bottom line is Muhammad will be in an expanded role in 2024 with the losses of Jahdae Barron and Andrew Mukuba to the NFL, so he will have plenty of opportunities to improve his draft stock. - 2024 Stats: 71.8 Coverage grade 64.7 Run defense grade 9 PBU 0 INT 9 Missed tackles 4 Penalties - #malikmuhammad #texasfootball #CollegeFootball #film #nfldraft #all22
