what I don't get is they say it like it's a chore to read diversly to think about it at all. while a lot of us are sitting over here like ok but the things that make it diverse make it not boring make it something we want to read becuase it feels new and fresh becuase the 10-20 years maybe more many of us ended up reading the same stories with different names and slightly different details becuase we didn't have much means to get that diversity weather it was becuase the library sucked or the publishing industry diversity at my local library only became a focus once my gen started working and im gen z and lack of diversity end up in some major slump for people like me who didn't even realize the lack of diversity in there reading till someone pointed it out and realized no wonder I'm bored I don't see me 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️or my friends🏳️‍🌈🙎🏽🙎🏿‍♀️🧔🏻‍♀️in my reading I see my grand dad and his friends who sat and watched strange fruit trees grow
