I think this conversation is more about Julie James vs Sidney Prescott rather than JLH and Neve Campbell. JLH has actually worked really consistently and is well known for roles outside of IKWYDLS. Neve is really only known for scream (and I think she’s fine with that. She’s not about that Hollywood hustle, she lives in France for a reason). BUT Sidney is THAT girl. She is one of the most iconic final girls of all time. Julie on the other hand, got outshone in both of her movies (by Helen and Carla) and people wish SMG had been the final girl instead. Helen has way more fans than JJ. Not JLH’s fault, JJ is just a weakly written character as you pointed out. And so this to me is about the legacy of their final girls and not the quality of their careers. Both have had fulfilling careers and have done well for themselves.

100% agree about the Julie James character assassination. ISKWYDLS killed the whole entire foundation of Julie James. You can not tell me that that is the same character who used logic, reason, and research to figure out who The Fisherman was only to come back for a sequel and become giddy when "Mark in the Morning" calls her phone line SECONDS after she chides Karla for Tyrell calling because her number is unlisted

What do you mean the same type a career. She has had multiple long running tv shows…..this is actually where the money is at. I can’t think of Neve Campbell really outside of the scream franchise….Hewitt is versatile and has consistently worked. Not even a fan but just having knowledge of media this is obvious.

IKWYDLS never felt like a true franchise like Scream. Both JLH and Neve were in Party of Five, but JLH built a strong TV career, while Neve stayed known for Party of Five, The Craft, Scream, and more. It’s cool how they both found their own paths in Hollywood. I wouldn’t really compare them, same with SMG.

I haven't seen it yet but now I wanna go back and familiarize myself with them before I do. But from seeing her other work there was no way Jennifer would allow herself to go back and be that kind of role. Having seen her on Criminal Minds and 911. So I'm glad as for you and other fans this bad writing was rectified.
