![#ROYAI #FMAB currently sobbing, crying, vomiting, kicking my feet, and falling to my knees because of them y’all know i love reading into shit and adding storylines to my edits soooo here’s a long tangent: i essentially wanted to convey that riza thinks she needs to push away her (romantic) feelings in order to serve and protect roy. thus, “i made a promise [to help roy get to the top], [so i need] to distance myself [emotionally]”. basically, promising herself and the both of them that she won’t let her feelings compromise their end goal.
