Little Nemo. NOT finding Nemo. There's some crazy nightmare goo that just straight up devours people, a rag tag group of flesh melding Werner Herzog furries, and a morally ambiguous 30's era clown gangster. This movie changed my psyche in ways I can not describe. To my little child brain, it was like viewing some Lovecraftian forbidden knowledge that I was unable to convey to others unless I dragged them to it and showed them these monstrosities as well.

ok but also princess and the goblin had a portion at the beginning of a live action princess saying that if you were ever lost and afraid you could call a toll free number on a card they provided and someone would help you. each vhs came with the card and as a kid I legitimately was like 🥹 the princess loves me! the themes of knowing you can always find your way home even if its scary or hard are still so good even if the movie is objectively kinda goofy
