we have one just like that where I live in Michigan that I volunteer at also called lucky dog ranch...it's the best!! currently we have 8 homes but 40 the goal as well!

Crazy idea, but what if you have an unhoused person in each tiny house for the dog…homeless would be reduced and the human and dog would both have company, connection, & love.

I think it’s important to note that every rescue wishes they could do this but they barely have the funding (since so many are 100% volunteer run and rely on donations) to provide basic care for the dogs they save, never mind a 5 star resort.

I want to do this only I want to take it one step further. I want a separate housing unit in front of the property with kennels that are safe and contained and have everything necessary for a drop off almost like a safe haven baby box but for dogs so if you really feel the need to surrender your dog fine but here's place to do it where there's no judgement and they will be cared for, they will be safe, and they will not just be roaming the streets, especially when shelters all around are always so full and I never want to turn anyone away.
