@kanionamarie: 😮‍💨✂️Have you ever been cut so you can grow? Let’s unpack this bc this pruning is PAINFUL. Are you feeling it too? it’s a lot of cutting and tearing down the old by God, it’s a method God uses to grow us so that we may bear more fruit and it ain’t for the weak! In my case, he tore down what I thought love was. I learned that if the love comes with conditions, it’s not love. I learned that what I always knew love to be was actually just transactional love. While there’s nothing wrong with requiring reciprocity which every healthy relationship will naturally consist of however, it becomes transactional when you expect others to show up in the same EXACT capacity as you did in the same EXACT way, and when there’s a lot of expectations of something HAVING to be returned to you as a result of you giving your time, resources, gifts, etc without zero consideration of the other person and what they may have going on in their life. But, we must endure the pruning because it’s there where God changes our heart & it’s then thst we’re able to bear much fruit God will prune but also sustain you to remain in Him! So be encouraged if you feel like a plant that’s withering or dying…God is with you. When God prunes, He purifies your view of love and I’m so grateful.
