What if something relly bad happend to them so they stopped beliving in them or to varang like ehat if she lost someone when if they were a part of ometacaya she like watched her lover sister or maybe even children die while begging for eywas help and she didnt help them so she stopped brliving in her and got abbanodened by ometacaya for that??

Neytiri hates people, because they destroyed her home in 1st movie, Varang hates Eywa cause she destroyed her home, so Varang became like this. Jake says Neytiri not to live with hates, because he understands that hate made Varang like this and he doesn't want Neytiri to be the same like Varang

i talked about this idea a few months ago with a friend. something like mount Vesuvius and the events of the destruction of Herculaneum and Pompeii following the eruption. it decimated an entire city within hours. it's hard to recover emotionally from that.
