What worries me the most is that we now know it’s possible. Who’s to say that people won’t spam their favourite ship tags with ai garbage to get it to top 100 or higher? Especially in fandoms where there are organically made fics…

The easiest solution i can think of to at least somewhat prevent this specific scenario is for ao3 to limit everyone to one, maybe two, post a day. Real writers typically dont need more than that. The workaround could be people making more accounts but considering they have to wait to be approved that should at least slow it down 😭
