I know people are relieved its not the kind of DV they envisioned but I do believe this is a type of DV.. she slept next to a man who hated her an could have snapped at any moment an is finding it out all at once...that is quite traumatic

I agree that I’m “relieved” it’s undercover racism. I was truly scared when ppl claimed it was possibly pdfile behavior or DV. Unfortunately A LOT of black women have been privy at the very LEAST to racism/colorism so I didn’t think that was “the worst.” it’s bad; but it’s sadly not shocking these days (or historically)

Agreed. I too am relieved that most of the horrific speculations are incorrect. This is still heartbreaking and traumatic for Jana and everyone close to him that feels used, manipulated and lied to. To feel like the person you love is a complete fraud (and so many other things but I’m gonna keep it clean), in a snap of a finger?! My stomach actually hurts right now. My heart goes out to Jana fully and the group as a whole.

Betrayal trauma is so hard to heal from. Someone playing in your face for a whole year is diabolical. It happened to me too and it's nice to see her being supported. I wish received that kind of support but I'm happy people are waking up to believe women.

There’s no need to compare the situations of Jana to victims of DV because what Jana experienced was a HATE CRIME. You shouldn’t be relived about that. Those are two different crimes and both are vile and can lead to death.
