The Malcolm Shabazz market was the city’s way of taking all the vendors that used to line 125th street back in the day and move them all to a central area to clear the street. Harlem was never the same. That market is glorious though, so many interesting things.

if you get the chance, you have to try this dessert called thiakry it’s this yogurty, tart and sweet treat made with cous cous sour cream and yogurt. it’s more of a pudding-like dessert than baked good but so delicious & decadent! &&& i would recommend buying the ones with white cous cous rather than the black millet grain because the texture is smoother.
