lemme add salt to the wound with my perspective with Rumi and Elsa 😋,
at first, Elsa might have felt that Rumi was too loud, too "alive" for someone who was forced to be silent about who she truly is. Meanwhile, Rumi was frustrated because Elsa was too afraid, too quiet. Rumi is someone whose silence harbors thousands of screams, a necessity that constantly pushes her to make the world accept who she is. Elsa on the other hand, has long buried her screams, indoctrinated from the start that her presence is a danger without a cure. Rumi is convinced she's infected with a disease, while all that Elsa known for a life is that she was born a curse. As time passes, Rumi realizes that beneath Queen Elsa's calm exterior, a storm is brewing. Rumi wants to protect the storm, fully aware that she'll be swept away too. But what Elsa needed wasn't salvation; she needs space- a piece of the world that can accept a cursed monster like her, so she created one, running away from Rumi, running away from who she is, running away from the world they swore to love each other's in, because that's all she ever known. Rumi can only love her; she can't save Elsa because Elsa isn't willing to be saved. Elsa herself realizes too late that the world she's been searching for has been in Rumi's gentle embrace all along, accepting her for who she is.
(yes i copied my comment from the last vid just for this)
