I’m done staying quiet. My former employer of the branch I used to work at with this firm called me, said that they were “putting this off for a couple of weeks” & fired me over the phone. Gave me the BS excuses of “struggling economically”, “we have nothing against you” etc. A cowardly phone call. They also thanked me for working there. Mind you, this was an independent real estate firm that then turned into a franchise firm in 2020. I bent over backwards, doing everything, going out of my way to working for these people if they needed anything in the spur of the moment, if they needed coverage, if someone couldn’t make it, I would go out of my way and go in to work. They were trying to save face. They even had the audacity to even tell me to my face what they were going to do without me going forward when I gave back my office keys. they offered me 2 weeks Severance (just 2) & my last two paychecks. They even offered to write a “letter of recommendation“ as a tactic to silence me from all the toxicity that I have witnessed within those years, they referred to me as an “face” and the way that they told me that they were going to go on without me was “we will have one of my people come in Sundays through Fridays and close the office on Saturdays” they ended it with “should we need anything, will call you“ and then they had the nerve to hug me, say thank you, and I left the building. These guys have the laws on the tip of their fingers & they do everything they want and get away with it. Lawsuits from tenants turned into settlements out of court. Even worse, two weeks before I was let go via the cowardly phone call was they accused me of stealing money from a tenant of a commercial building they own, how much money did they accuse me of stealing, $5000 IN CASH. Why would you collect money from a tenant for a commercial building in cash? shouldn’t the rent be paid via check? Not according to them, one of the questions they asked was “could it have fallen on the floor?“. I mean, really? @Sotheby’s International Realty THIS is what happens BEHIND CLOSED DOORS! #workplacepractices #toxicworkplace #fypシ゚viral🖤 #fyp #foryoupage
