OK guys I’m gonna be honest here. I never experienced tsunami, but I know a lot about science and if it takes three hours for a tsunami to get to Hawaii, then they should probably get to a high ground because I doubt that it’s gonna be big, but it is gonna be a tsunami

Doesn’t matter that the building will still be standing. That is NOT the issue. I’ve lived through the aftermath of hurricanes in a high rises. You could be stuck for MULTIPLE days w no water, electricity, or way to get any supplies either because of the flooding & debris. No one will come for you if you need help.

hawaii is far enough from the epicenter that you're not going to be hit with the level of tsunami as say the 2011 japan tsunami after the quake was just off the coast. in a similar fashion, a closer earthquake in 2004 in Indonesia/Thailand which is one of the worst and most known tsunamis had a lot of casualties, but anyone on higher floors of buildings were okay
