the tattoos are the best reassurance that shifting is real imo. I haven't become fully aware of my DR yet so seeing shifters with tattoos is like the "why would they get that if it wasn't real"

I would believe in shifting if the truth of it didn't include being able to see the future. If you can shift to any movie/book etc, then you're able to know the future of it even if the end hasn't been written yet in our timeline. Yet nobody from the shifting community ever talked about it. Strangely no one "predicted" the end of a TV show in the work etc.
