After the ceasefire, Thai soldiers pretended to shake hands with Cambodian soldiers at the Choam The battlefield and then arrested them, and have not been released yet.

Thailand violated the ceasefire by arresting 20 Cambodian soldiers (and shooting two to the ground, still unknown whether they were alive or dead) under the pretext of asking to shake hands and take a picture with them. Thailand’s actions violated the KL ceasefire and the international law, the 1949 Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Cambodia must gather evidence to convict Thailand of war crimes.
