so let's get this out here. Zack Snyder has been very forward about his batman's inspiration being frank miller's dark knight design. a more brutal and old batman who in that comic would allow someone to die Infront of him, Zack simply expanded upon that and wanted to show Bruce coming back from that edge as seen when he chooses not to brand luthor like he did to others in the start of BVS. the nightmare reality stuff is literally meant to be the bad timeline so yeah it's the one where Bruce never came back from where he was at the start of BVS. in short: - every batman bar Adam west and Robert pattinsons batman have killed, but Zacks had life reasons behind it and somehow gets hate for it. - Snyder never went out to make comic accurate representations and he wanted his own spin on the characters which again was stated at the outset - it's hard to judge a character for his entire morals when the whole point was to have him become better over time in multiple movies, movies which never got to happen. sorry for ranting and thanks for coming to the ted talk.

I don't think people even try to understand synder's story because this is not the normal batman in Gotham his in an apocalypse trying to stop evil superman. Its sad that people don't want to experience new ideas of characters they are just stuck to old comics and criticise other people's ideas.
