@alex.b.sheridan: I think college is an absolute scam. If you're going for marketing. Or “Communications”. (As I did) They take your money and promise a “Higher education” In reality, most leave with debt and very little real world SKILLS or experience. This is especially true in marketing because social media, AI, video, etc.….this stuff changes so fast that what they’re teaching from two years ago is already outdated. Honestly, what they taught two months ago might be outdated. If that same marketing grad worked for me (Or another proven content marketer) they’d get real life, high value skills, and not only would it not cost them…they’d actually MAKE money and be able to invest in their now and their future. Call me crazy…but I just think as a society we can do better. Our kids are great…and we are failing them with an outdated education model that is not truly out to serve them. They deserve better. Let’s talk more about it in the comments! Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences. PS: Yes, obviously not all colleges/degrees/etc. are a scam. Some are needed.
