In Texas we measure distance in minutes and hours. Sometimes, even that is iffy, depending on the traffic.

the worst drive in america is memphis to little rock. i’ll stand 10 toes down on this. 4 lane, boring, can’t get around the trucks. People were stranded 10 hours on 40 eastbound after a wreck this weekend
