@marcinteodoru: #greenscreen it is a crazy thought to think that 90% of developers will be out of a job in the next 3 to 6 months. I have been saying this for now 3 to 6 months and I do think this is gonna happen, but the ones that survive are gonna be the tall dogs of this industry because not knowing code is still a massive disadvantage than actually starting with five code tools, and knowing code.
True in the sense that developers will be writing the 90% of the code with the help of AI, but the developers will still be designing the overall architecture, libraries and the flow with some help from AI. I think it will take at least 10 years for AI to autonomously develop and maintain the complex large scale software even though the many AI tools are now able to develop fully functional small web applications without a flaw.

How easy would it be to create an app or something along those lines for a fitness person with clients to have plans on and diets etc

overestimation, maintenance of code and infrastructure requires way more context that this van currently handle, besides, the power this will require!!

not overall but I wouldn't rule it out for new code developed 💯

Nah max bet on the under 90%. Anthropic bros all used to working in fast paced environments and in unregulated industries. Very far off from larger, legacy orgs in healthcare, banking, etc. Silicon Valley startup types, sure. But so much code written outside of that bubble.

it's 100% true that 99% of the code that's going to be written by AI is going to be useless at best made by people that are not really going to produce anything of any use but paying for the AI so I'm sure banging the drum is going to be popular😄

nothing new. 100% of the existing code is written by stacksoverflow anyway

Definitely react/js/python, for sure. Some elite stuff will still be written by hunans, but elite original code is very niche. Probably 99% of all code is basic web UI/API/DB stuff, and humans can't compete with AI's speed.

Try using it for more custom technology , not only react/python. You’ll quickly see how useful it is 🙏

I wouldn’t be shocked if it already was, but it’s racking up insane tech debt. It’s amazing at trivial and basic tasks, but it’s creating complete chaos in enterprise systems.

Ohh boy, I mean I would love to just stay in a lab figuring out how to write more efficient AI products, but considering the fisaco with the tea app I'd say it's a rather premature assessment. Otherwise AI disaster recovery specialists will be booming with job offers soon.

it's true. it's no longer about how you code. it's about how to structure your prompts to get the best code to delivery your frameworks.
