It was a cult, that’s why. Christianity, before being a full blown religion, was a cult centered around Yeshua after he claimed to be the son of god. Cults have done crazier things, idk why this is such a big deal.

You’re forgetting an interesting part of that amulet. It mentions St Titus at the top showing saintly intercession was common even as far back as 200 AD, affirming what apostolic Christian’s already knew to be true
