It truly blows my mind how quick dogs adapt. I just got a new foster 2 weeks ago, got him from another foster who was going away for some time. She SOBBED because she loved him so much & got attached. Was scared he was going to feel abandoned. Around 4 hours into having him, he was doing zoomies in my yard, giving lots of kisses, and begging for pets and cuddles. Like nothing ever happened. It was surprising to see it from this end bc I knew how well he had it there. Changed my perspective. Dogs are very forgiving and adaptive🥹

Fostering is difficult, but so rewarding! Keep in touch with their new owners and ask for photo updates once in a while. Seeing them thriving makes it all worth it 💙

Crash🇨🇦 :
I foster in 🇨🇦 but the dogs are from Texas and Louisiana. In 7 years I’ve fostered 30+dogs and only fostered failed once and it was a chihuahua. A few I cried when they left and considered adopting them, 2 I absolutely should have kept but we have 2 dogs only strict bylaws in my city.

I get attached the min I get them. I now have 5 dogs. Had 6 but he was a señor dog that recently passed away. I end up adopting them all 🥰
