🇹🇭 The Truth from Thailand 🙏❤️For many years, Thailand has extended a helping hand to Cambodia — providing education to Cambodian children living near the border, and offering them medical care in Thai hospitals. Thailand has spent hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars each year doing this. And what do we get in return? Bombs dropped on our hospitals? Why? Thailand has always desired peace and has supported the Cambodian people in countless ways for decades. Thai hospitals have treated Cambodian patients free of charge. Thai institutions have awarded numerous scholarships to Cambodian students. Looking back at history, during the brutal Khmer Rouge regime, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit helped establish refugee camps to provide shelter, safety, and humanitarian support to Cambodians. Over the years, many Cambodian workers have found employment in Thailand, enabling them to earn a living and send money back home to their families. Despite all these efforts, it often feels like nothing Thailand does is ever enough. We continue to stand for peace, compassion, and regional unity. But the truth must also be spoken.
