As I said, I was leaning more toward the positive side of Medvedev in Toronto, since I didn’t see a bad version of him against Wu and Moutet in Washington and saw him serving very well (didn't happen in a long time). He just got unlucky with the heat and the delay at 4-5 against Moutet. But yesterday, for me, was really shocking and made me take a step back, since I was actually planning to back him as a winner against Popyrin. Zverev and Rune gave me a much better first impression — more consistent on serve and mentally locked in, especially Rune. The next match might be Rune vs. Medvedev, which could offer us some interesting lines. Also, Zverev at 2.40 — I’m not a huge fan at the moment, because in outright markets, he’s quite a negative investment. It’s not valuable, considering he still has a tricky path with Arnaldi and Cerúndolo before a potential final against Rune or Medvedev. The next round should give us a lot of answers. Arnaldi looks a bit more dangerous to me right now, especially since Cerúndolo has just returned to hard courts and looked quite error-prone yesterday against Munar Rune will also give us more insight against a different matchup like Muller — we’ll get a better sense of his actual level. And finally, Medvedev. If I see another error-prone performance from him, he’ll definitely be a player I’ll look to fade in the next round against Rune, depending on the odds and lines. #tennis #atptennis #tennistv #nationalbankopen #sportsbetting #toronto #tennispredictions
