Not at all. I will always buy school supplies and I will never wear a mask that doesn’t work nor will I take a vax that has killed more people than whatever disease Covid was. Nope we are not the same.

I watched teachers pay for so much in school supplies and then donate a lot to school events on top of that. We’re lucky to have teachers at all, parents have no idea.

after our son did online school in 2020-2021, I told my husband I will buy ANYTHING the teacher needs for the classroom cause after seeing what the teachers deal with on a daily basis, they absolutely deserve help and support from all parents

People will complain about having to buy supplies, saying “the schools should provide that,” and then turn around and say “parents should be able to pay for their own kids’ lunches, why do I have to pay their lunch??”

I never understood why oarents complain about it. I get it times can be tough for ppl life happens. Its currently happening to me with 2 emergency surgeries. Guess what? im not going to not buy my kids school supplies. Tax free week is coming up so ill buy the stuff then. Or ill get some this check and some next check

💯💯💯 Not gonna lie, we complain about buying supplies but we do it anyway and we buy extra when we can for the classroom so people just need to get over it. We chose to have kids so we choose to buy school supplies 🤷🏾♀️

No kids in this household. Still donate funds to a local group that gets backpacks and supplies for the under served. I want those kids to worry about learning, not having pencils.

I do mostly agree. But part of the issue is that the schools should be funded enough that the parents or teachers should not have to pay additional for basic classroom needs such as pencils, notebook, and cleaning materials. I understand the frustration from some parents when schools require these long and expensive school material lists be purchased by parents barely affording bare minimum for th household.

Amen. The reality is that the donations are needed. Take it up with the government or the school district or whoever the hell you want. But in the meantime, IT IS STILL NEEDED!! Just buy the school supplies!
