Its also why the quality of new houses is absolute trash and they cost more than ever, cheap labor and cheap product reduces the value of the dollar, therefore causing inflation. once we get rid of the cheap terrible labor, quality will start competing for the same work, earning their contract by quality not price. it will lower and stabilize the home prices

Subcontractors are given fake paperwork when hiring workers as well. IRS doesn’t care either it seems.

That’s why I quit building in 08 and just did remodeling.. got tired of being undercut .. did jobs just me and maybe one other guy could handle and made more money ❤️

They won’t. These developers pay off the city. The cities are pocketing cash through these contractors. Been in building industry for 30 years- you’re right, in the 90s plenty of Americans wanted to pound nails. The developers are responsible for unemployment rates.

I’m 54 and this has been happening my entire life!! Same with agricultural!! It will never ever ever change!! Some of this biggest developers and they can’t pay a living wage to Americans?!! Go capitalism!! Go USA!! Thanks uniparty!! I’m so over all this winning!!

And he homes are junk. I make a living fixing this mess. It’s gotten ridiculous. I would be in new construction still if you could find work. Because hey only hire the other way or contract the other way. Extremely low quality being done
