Straight facts. Long ago, I had casual hook ups who would turn aggressive when they couldn’t get one over on me because I didn’t want their number after they had stayed over. They had it all planned that they would refuse to give me their number and were so furious that I had no intention of seeing them again.

After my 1st marriage ended I didnt want another relationship. I liked my life as a single pringle. My attitude was "I know you're not Mr Right, but you are Mr you'll do right now" and I was honest with them from day 1 & they seemed happy with that too. Oh my God...after 1 or 2 dates they'd push for a more serious connection & when I said "absolutely not" they were livid. Suddenly I was a *derogatory term* who "strung them along". I'd be like "ok, so thank you for revealing your true colours, now I DEFINITELY don't want anything more to do with you!". Like you say, its a game to them. I think they wanted to see if I'd change my mind so they could mess me about. I'm 10yrs happily now and we met when I was still in my villain era haha, but yeah...a common denominator while I was "dating" was that most (not all) men just play games to boost their own ego.

100% accurate. I tried having casual, out-of-town hookups, but would eventually find out that the guy had a girlfriend & it became such a turn off. I’ve opted for celibacy because men just aren’t worth the hassle anymore.

Yep. My ex kept trying to pressure me into something I clearly wasn’t down for. I said maybe we’re not compatible! There are plenty of women out there that will, go get one. Why does it have to be me?! It wasn’t til much later that I realized the fact that I didn’t want to is what made it so valuable to him.
