No - cyclists ride at a pace that is not safe for anyone on foot. How kind of the council to keep a route where the safety of everyone including children and toddlers, the elderly and disabled, can walk safely without anything fast on wheels to dodge out of the way of.

I live in Weymouth and the Rodwell trail is shared between cyclists and walkers, problem is there are a lot of a very fast, very rude cyclists who take no account of those walking. My young daughter has had close calls with cyclists a few times as they have no regard for others.

You can cycle just not between 10 and 6 in July and August. It stops little kiddies getting knocked over. Plenty of other cycle routes available.

Maybe because A promenade is a public space/path designed originally for walking not cycling. However you have a valid point

Mate, so agree, im a cyclist but have a beach hut at Durley chine, and 3 kids that dice with death every time they cross to the beach, the (4th was mangled by a beryl) and I still agree, widen the lane on to the beach...like Brighton.
