hi I'm from Russia. hear we've heard this "to protect the children" thing a lot. and it almost never about protecting children. if something claimed to be that, 99% of the time it's just to enforce governmental control in people lifes even more. it eventually leads to loosing democracy and freedom in media. and also often it doesn't stop crimes but rather makes it so that some people start doing even more weird stuff just to avoid initial bans and restrictions. so yeah, I would be VERY concern about where could that lead potentially

Not to be that guy, but the government aren’t the ones verifying the identities. It’s random tech start ups for silicone valley, each website uses a different one. So we are expected to upload our ID across the internet which is wild
