All things considered this is just sloppy writing. Jenny built up a character who, although by no means perfect, was still a good person. Jere made mistakes but he was, just like Conrad, suffering A LOT, his entire world turned upside down just like Conrad’s, and that’s why I offer both of them the same grace with their mistakes. But this season is CHARACTER ASSASSINATION just for the sake of it. Just springing stuff out of nowhere to turn him into a monster so that the audience CLEARLY sees Conrad as the only viable option. Jenny underestimates her audience so much that she feels like she has to literally SPELL THINGS OUT to us for us to understand: Jeremiah bad, Conrad perfect. And Belly has had no character development at all, she’s still 15.

laurel was absolutely correct that whole episode. belly has no ruined something she was so excited for and jeremiah should have made sure she still went because if he truly loved her, he wouldn’t care if they were a part for 5 months. he would let her go because he loves to see her happy, chasing her dreams. also i’ve noticed that SOME but most jeremiah defenders do not think about how the other characters may feel. they don’t think, they just jump to conclusions and hate on everyone. and they say ALL conrad defenders are problematic? yeah okay…

I can understand why Belly might be upset with Conrad after everything they’ve been through BUT JEREMIAH IS LITERALLY SOOOOO IN THE WRONG IN THAT SITUATION. He is such a little manchild. I can’t wait for him to be fucking HUMBLED!!!!!

if they say “susannah said the most important thing is family” as an excuse to get married one more time i’m gonna lose my MIND. if the most important thing is family then why would you continue with a marriage your ENTIRE family is against 🫠 all everyone is saying is to wait & they can’t even do that 😭 but this rushed marriage is just belly’s way of pushing those repressed feelings for conrad down deeper thinking they will just disappear 🤷♀️
