Hard no- a church cannot dictate how public land is used. People pay a lot in taxes to manage these beaches and then he have to pay again to access them. Hard no.

How about those who wanna honor god just go and do that at church or their home and stop forcing their lifestyle choices and beliefs on everyone else who wants to go to the beach on Sunday mornings

You know what’s not “honoring God“? Wanting to keep the beaches closed until 12 noon on Sunday, but still charging the full price for a beach pass. Isn’t one of the 10 Commandments, Thou shall not steal?”

The beach, boardwalk, and pier have been owned by the OGCA, aka the church, since 1869, they have the right to do whatever they want with their land, non religious and other religious people, even including other Christians, can choose from the hundreds of other beach options, keep in mind OG is only 1 sq mile.

I grew up here, it’s always been this way, I don’t understand what the problem is, there are tons of other beaches near there, if you want to go to beach before noon on Sunday go to one of those.

if they really wanted to honor God with beach rules, they should allow free access to God’s nature instead of charging almost $15 for 5 hours of beach time (12-5 pm)

Sabbath for Jewish people is Saturday, keeping it open on Sundays is smart so nonreligious Christians/Catholics can also attend the beach w non-Christians

at the beaches public property there should be no religious restrictions not everybody's as Christian or religious so they shouldn't have to follow their rules when it comes to public lands
