Why do we have to continuously buy a plate sticker? It’s a piece of paper. The car doesn’t die. Nothing happens why we have to continuously renew our drivers license. We’re not dead. I mean, I can see. Maybe updating the picture. But everything is completely illegal with the Secretary of State is doing.

I want to know if I never gotten a ticket, or pulled over or even had any accident, how is that you send me a letter for not having insurance and a fine, then turn around and suspend registration after I get the insurance and pay the fine! I’m unemployed on top of that, which is why I can’t afford to keep the insurance nor can I drive my car to a job because of the suspension.

Yeah but Illinois charged me sales tax to register a vehicle that I bought/paid off before moving to Illinois so, like, fix that too.

Used to pay annual for auto insurance for the discount. Now we can only afford to pay monthly. The extra fees for monthly are an extra $7.50 too. Still not anywhere near as bad as property taxes in Cook County.

Why are we paying for car insurance if you’re a great driver and have zero accidents? We need to cap it. I have been paying for car insurance for the past 32 years, and that is a tremendous amount of money to pay for other people's claims.

But don’t pay it and the state will suspend your plate and you can’t get to work. Too many people I manage are going through this and police just waiting to get them.

Why would zip codes be a bad thing? Why should I pay the same rates in the middle of Illinois as Chicago pays? The drivers in Chicago are some of the worst in the country and there's tons more traffic, so it makes sense that it might cost more in a big city for car insurance.

One of your constituents had an accident and subsequently multiple spinal injuries, and surgeries that have seriously affected my ability to work. First time in 35 years. Fell behind in child support 6mos. Now you suspended my license. I can no longer get to my regular Dr appointments, my children’s school functions. Did I mention getting back and forth to work so I can pay the back support. STOP MAKING INJURED GOOD PEOPLE SUFFER. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF WE ALL JUST SAID NO MORE.
