let's talk quad bias vs glute bias during dumbbell squats 👀 both versions will still work your legs overall, but a few subtle changes in your setup can slightly shift the emphasis. wearing @DFYNE dc: KELS and drinking @C4 Energy dc: KELSGRACEFIT (ad) a more quad-biased squat, keep your chest more upright and allow your knees to track slightly further forward over your toes (yes, this has been proven to be safe & usually preferred!) This position keeps the quads under slightly more tension throughout the movement. for a slightly more glute-biased squat, push your hips back (kinda like you're doing an RDL) and let your chest drop forward a bit. This slight hip hinge pattern shifts more of the load toward your glutes and hamstrings, while still keeping the quads involved. NOTE: My chest is dropped forward a lot here, and I'm not quite sure why.... I only noticed it when I was rewatching it to edit.
