I think many people from outside of the US don't know the struggles and pain that ordinary Americans go through. Our country's image is of wealth and opportunity but the reality is so different. The majority of Americans are really suffering from poverty because our government failed to resist corruption. Since the beginning, "America" that was built on the death and cruelty of the native people who welcomed newcomers with generosity! I think since the beginning this country was doomed to fail because of that. How could this be the land of the free?

as a street dancer who dances in a safe country, knowing that my dance doesn’t have to come from a place of survival, I fully recognize my privilege. street dance has always been a pathway for the less privileged to stay away from harmful lifestyles and I sincerely wish that one day, these men would not to have to choose to dance anymore from a place of survival but merely for self-expression.
