As being in the dental field for over 30 years, dental insurance is such a scam. A coupon is the best definition, unfortunately most people do not understand insurance at all.

Most dental insurances increase their fee schedules every 5-10 years, and only by a few dollars. I've literally updated fee schedules that increased $0.50 in 5 years. Insurance doesn't want to pay, no matter how long a dentist has been practicing. Also, most of the insurance fees are only slightly higher than what insurance paid in the 70's.

Damn, that sounds like a struggle. I am glad my local university clinic has a full dental clinic as well. It's a privileged situation.

Yea there a placed called Amazing Dental in MI, bare bones, with lots of student helpers. I get cleanings there but they cornered me into a crown that still doesn’t feel right. Scam business.
