I remember waiting in line behind an old guy arguing about having to give them his ID to pick up a medicine. I got tired of listening to him argue in circles and tapped him on the shoulder "Hey I really need to get going and you're holding up the line. Either give them your ID or leave. Those are your choices." he stared at me all bewildered that someone actually talked back to him I guess? and then it's like his brain switched on and he realized how annoying he was being and finally gave them his ID without any more argument

Our new system requires the patients to put in their DOB and have had 2 people flat out refuse to do it. Did it for one guy and asked to verify the name and he's like "the guy behind me can see/hear". Sir he is not watching you type something in

I haven't had someone refuse to give birthday yet but the person they send in to pick up had no idea (usually a father, husband, or neighbor). It's really sad then the spouse has to call for the birthday and I hear the patient curse them out.
